Bo White is a stage name of Gifford “Bo” Jessop. Originally from Dearborn, he came to Manistee after we met at Ferris State University, Big Rapids, in 1970. He played drums and sang with “Band X” (name changed to “North Country” in 1971), until it broke up in ’72. He then became lead vocalist and frontman of “Red Apple Road”, a six-piece (three guitars) rock band, playing congas and other percussion as well. He is currently lead vocalist, frontman and percussionist with “Bo White and The Bluezers”.
