Monitor

Grand Rapids – Was formed in the early 80’s from a popular band – 240 Front.

Band Members:

  • Dave Rodenberg
  • Joe Macicak (Bass guitar)
  • Bob Tedlock (Drums)
  • Anny Erwood (Keyboard)
  • Vicky Stewart (Keyboard)
  • Lucy Earnst (Rhythm guitar, vocals)
  • Sharon Polidan (vocals)
  • John Lutz (Soundman)

The original Monitor band was formed in the early 80’s from the ashes of another popular Grand Rapids band – 240 Front.

After 240 Front called it quits, guitar player Dave Rodenberg along with soundman John Lutz auditioned many players to finally debut as Monitor at Bogies in East Town. We had Joe Macicak on bass, drummer extraordinaire Bob Tedlock, Anny Erwood on keys and Lucy Earnst on vocals/rhythm guitar.

After a successful run Anny moved on and was replaced on keys by Vicky Stewart. Lucy later resigned and she was replaced by vocalist Sharon Polidan.

There were other changes and configurations over time as well, but after about 5 years of fun in the clubs guitarist Dave Rodenberg finally decided to leave and pursue other interests, so Monitor disbanded.
