I played drums with “The Finer Things” of Benton Harbor, MI back in 1966 through 1968. We played lots of times at the Edgar Allen Poe Club in Holland during that time as well as the Beach Bash dance club in Grand Haven, MI and many other clubs as well. The E.A. Poe Club was in a beautiful old Funeral Home with ‘The Raven Room” upstairs. The Beach Bash was held at the roller rink in Grand Haven. Band members were me – Dan Stice on drums, Denny Miller lead singer, Paul Hass on Base Guitar, Denny Hanson on keyboards, and Dave Hicks on lead guitar. Our manager was Jack Kelly from WHFB radio station, Benton Harbor and our road manager and sound man was Eric Smith. We did record a 45 rpm record “In the Night” and “Young & Carefree” at Chess Record studio in Chicago. No real fame or fortune, but what GLORY DAYS !!!!!!!!!!!!
