Grand Rapids – Denny Gramza (Keyboards, guitar, vocals) Jay Fortier (Bass, vocals) Tom Geluso (Drums) Dale Thomas (Bass, vocals)

Denny Gramza

Good time, fun music. Jimmy Buffett, island reggae music, cajun, zydeco, tex-mex, country, surf instrumentals–lots of variety.

A set list of 400+ songs from the 50s to current. Performs as a single, duo, or full band. No sheet music stands or reading words for this guy. Plays guitar, piano, harmonica, with vocals–and sometimes all at once! A state-of-the art Roland synthesizer adds tasty, subtle sounds of steel drums, strings, organ, accordion, honky-tonk piano, and vibes, coupled with genre and rhythm varieties, volume dynamics–solves that often-heard complaint about so many bands; ‘heard one song, heard them all”. Variiety keeps audiences hanging around.

Everything from Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” to Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone” to Jackson Browne’s “The Pretender” to Buddy Guy’s “Feels Like Rain to Van Morrison’s “Someone Like You” to Tom Petty’s “Last Dance with Mary Jane” to Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold”, to Rolling Stones “Brown Sugar” To Jimmy Buffett’s “Blue Heaven Rendezvous”, to Jim Croce’s “Operator”, to Dire Straits “Sultans of Swing”, to Commander Cody’s “Hot Rod Lincoln” to “Don’t Worry Be Happy” !!!

Played in highly-popular house band gigs in night clubs: 7 years at the Bungalow in Manistee, 7 years at the Windjammer/Lena Lou’s in Ada, 10 years (and still going) at the Old Kent VFW in Grand Rapids, 3 years (and still going) at the AMVETS Post in Kentwood. Such longevity is only possible when audiences continue to return week after week!
