Dan Jacobs

Dan JacobsTrumpeter/flutist Dan Jacobs, originally from Michigan, toured with the Bobby Charles/Kenny Gordon band from 1968 to May of 1973, when he moved to CA. He recorded one LP with the band during that time he was with the band.

He has traveled the world playing music of all kinds since then. Dan studied trumpet performance and music theory at the acclaimed Navy School of Music and was in the honor guard at the funeral of President John F. Kennedy in 1963 in Washington, DC. He also studied at Berkeley College of Music and Michigan State University.

Three artists (trumpeters) have affected him the most: Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker, and Miles Davis.
