    Dick sang on the Green Valley Jamboree as a teen.. His dad also sang on that show before him.. Dick was in one of my bands for a very short time playing in Battle Creek, about 1970.. He had a good voice..For a time we were competitive bands,Dicks group at the “Beat” club and my band at nearby Mr Luckys..Phil Rishel

    I subbed in Dick Root’s band with Fitz Green in February 1972 or 1973 (I believe) at the Front Door. Dick fired the family for two weeks, and added us in the interim.

    Jim Camp (drums) fled to Austin,Tx in 1975 after derailing The Wild Mouse at Fun World.
