RIP John Brown. What a great entertainer he was! We went and heard him a lot. I have his recording of Rosanna. When I got it, I about wore it out. I put it on my recorder and just let it play over and over.
    He will be missed!

    • Rosanna is one of my favorite songs also and I would always request it from John whenever I would hear him play, he always played it, but I think it was his theme song or signature song you might say. It was I believe a Charlie Rich song, at least I think he wrote it, but the Capreez made it popular and John did his share to popularize it too. lol. Doug Taylor

I played drums with ‘The John Brown Trio’ a long time ago. I think he may remember the night we played at an armory (up north in Michigan). That night my drums were stolen from the truck of my dad’s car. It’s been many years since then. I’m 65 now and was a teenager when that happened. I was privileged to know and work with John, an extraordinarily talented Guitarist and vocalist. Haven’t seen him in a long time…hope all is good with him.
