What a wonderful place in the 1960s. What happened to it?

I played there 68 & 69 in a band called The Habitat. It closed in the 70’s & was later torn down. Art Dewey was the entrepreneur, running the place for many years as a rock venue but it all began in the 1920’s as a dance hall called park O’ The Lakes &, later, a roller rink. There was a poster (inside, near the entrance) that advertised The Horace Heidt Orchestra & featured the 1st big band electric guitar. Art said it was from 1928.
