Grand Rapids
This was a transitional “lounge-type” trio that was formed by Bob Vogel, Dick Vogel and bassist Mike Grattan in 1975. Previous to the Vogel Brothers Band was Dirk Rivers, formed in 1973, with Bob, Dick, Kim Rush and Jerry Davis. After a year of playing as the Vogel Brothers (trio), Bob and Dick went back to the quartet format and resumed using the Dirk Rivers name until the late 1980s.
